Stick With Your Goals with my FREE Planning Kit!

Happy New Year!

Now that the parties, silly hats, and celebratory drinks are in the rearview mirror, it’s time to set your sights on what matters: your goals.

I’m NOT talking about New Year’s Resolutions here. Those, for the most part, are more like general wishes for the new year. “I want to lose some weight,” or, “I want to earn more money.”

What I’m talking about here are your concrete business goals. The things that you’re going to be focusing on at your small business throughout the next 12 months. It’s time to get your thoughts in order. But that can be tricky to do when you don’t have a pre-existing framework to organize them.

Well, that’s where I come in! As a New Year’s gift to all of you, I’m giving away one of my paid productivity products absolutely free: The Goal Planning Kit for Entrepreneurs! This five-part kit will give you everything you need to get your thoughts down on paper (or your tablet) in a way that will inspire you to action. You can use it year after year to help you set your business goals. Just print off a new copy of the templates. You can also load them again on your iPad or computer and you’re all set.

I’ve been selling it for $14.99 in my store, but I want you (and all the other entrepreneurs out there) to get a jumpstart on your year. So, I’m unlocking it and offering it for free to everyone. No hoops, no marketing jargon. Simply use the coupon code GOALDIGGER20 and you are set!

Let’s take a look at what you get with the Goal Planning Kit for Entrepreneurs. I’ll show you how it can help you set yourself up for the most successful year of your business yet!

Focus Goal Tracker

While I don’t necessarily believe in New Year’s Resolutions, I do believe in having a specific focus every year. You can call this a goal, an intention, a vision, or a theme. Whatever vocabulary you use to describe it, it’s one of the ways how I have grown my digital marketing and virtual assistant business yearly since I founded it 18 years ago (AHHHHHHH!!!!)

Once you figure out your Focus Goal, this sheet will help you break it down into actionable steps that you can take over the next 12 months.

Your focus can be just about anything. You might want to take a look at building up your digital marketing throughout the year. Or even revamping all of your social media channels to reach out to more potential customers. You might want to introduce some new products or services into your business like webinars, requiring lots of research and development. Or you could even want to do a full rebranding and rebuild of your website, updating it for the new decade with new graphics and a logo!

Quarterly Goal Tracker

While having an overriding Focus Goal throughout the year is essential, you should also be breaking down the year into small pieces, with goals for each. I recommend having a different goal every four months of the year.

These goals are pretty similar to your focus goal, but compressed into a tighter time frame. Here, you could break down your Focus Goal into smaller parts. For example, let’s say that your Focus Goal is to increase customer engagement and service. Well, one of your Quarterly Goals could be to revamp your customer service engagement with auto-responders and improved email responsiveness. Or you might want to engage with your customers more often on social media.

Of course, your Quarterly Goals could have nothing to do with your Focus Goal. It’s entirely up to you what you want to keep your eye on every quarter at your business! But if you want some help figuring out achievable goals, I’d love to brainstorm with you. (Tip: Use a Vision Board with a FREE Word of the Year card!)

Running Goal List

As a small business owner, it’s unrealistic to expect that you can pack all of your goals into one big focus and four smaller focuses for the year. You are going to have multiple priorities over the year. It depends on the season, your current level of business, and your personal life.

That’s why I provide a sheet that will help you keep track of all of your running goals throughout the year. Whenever something else comes up that you want to do, add it to the list. These could range from daily goals like answering all of your emails in a prompt manner to weekly intentions like writing up the next round of your social media posts.

Big Picture Dream Tracker

To be a successful entrepreneur, you need to dream big. No one goes into business for themselves, hoping barely to break even. You want to be a success! Well, this sheet is where you can put all of those ambitions and plans.

In the Big Picture Dream tracker, I want you to let your imagination run wild. Write down the most extensive, successful vision of your business. Then, you can brainstorm some ideas on how to get there. These ideas don’t need to be grounded or realistic. Remember, we’re talking about dreams here. And sometimes, writing down your most crazy and wild fantasies about your business is the first step to bring them into reality.

Habit Tracker

Everyone has habits, some good, some not so good. I know that I have a few bad habits that I wish I could kick!

But when it comes to running a business, you need to foster daily habits that will keep things humming along. On this page, you can write down all of your habits, tracking them to improve your unconscious impulses.

These don’t need to be big things. For example, I have a vision board up in my office. One of my daily habits is to glance at it to remind myself about where I want my business to go. Other positive habits might include instantly responding to all business texts, daily outreach to clients, and exercise during your lunch break.

Of course, this isn’t the only piece of content that I am offering for free. To help entrepreneurs at every stage of their business, I also have several free checklists, workbooks, and templates that can assist them in optimally running their business. For example, take a look at the Write Your Own Business Plan Workbook. Creating a business plan is one of the critical parts of running a successful business. This workbook will give you the framework you need to put one together. And like all of the other resources, it’s completely free!
