How a Virtual Assistant Can Help with Your Next Big Launch

Product launches are exciting for small business owners, whether they’re for a new webinar, e-book, online course, or physical product. Seeing the results of your labor being used and appreciated by dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of people, is extremely satisfying! However, it’s also a lot of work to get to the point of launch, especially if you’re doing everything on your own.

Have you ever looked at other entrepreneurs and wondered how they get new products ready to launch so quickly? I’m going to let you in on a little secret: they probably have help from a virtual team. Even a business run solely by one person can benefit from outsourcing some of their work to a virtual assistant. When you’re going beyond the day-to-day chores of running your business to tackle development and launch strategy for a new product or service, having expert assistance is vital.

I’ve written about a couple of the ways that a virtual assistant can help you with your business’ next big launch. When you’re ready to start planning for an upcoming product launch, you can use the checklist I’ve provided at the bottom of this article. My Product Launch Planning Checklist is a helpful overview of the steps you need to complete in order to have a great launch. Plus, it’s free to download!

Product Design and Project Management

In order to have a launch, you need to have a product or service ready first! You need to brainstorm the sections your e-book, online class, or webinar will have, and figure out what is typical of these sorts of products. Luckily, a virtual assistant will be familiar with what you need to include, and how to manage the tasks involved in creating it.

Writing Copy and Preparing Materials

Lots of entrepreneurs can envision the type of e-book, webinar, course, or other valuable product that their clients would use and appreciate. However, not every small business owner is a natural-born writer. Indeed, most are too busy to devote the time needed to produce a top-quality e-book, webinar, online course, or other product with a lot of writing involved.

Building a Product Launch Page

Once you have a product ready to go, you need a way to distribute it! Maybe you need a members-only page for delivering your webinar. You’ll need to set up a service like MemberPress to make sure your content only goes to the consumers who signed up or paid for access. This is time consuming if you’ve never done it before, an experienced virtual assistant can come to the rescue!

Maybe you need ecommerce integrations like a shopping cart to sell your e-book. No matter what kind of webpage you need, getting it set up correctly and making sure it’s intuitive to use is essential. As an experienced virtual assistant, I’ve designed dozens of websites and product launches. Knowing the best delivery method is half the battle.

Generating Buzz Ahead of the Launch

Any good virtual assistant will be able to develop and implement multi-platform social media and email marketing campaigns focused on your upcoming launch. Getting potential customers excited and ready to sign up or pre-order your new product is a big undertaking! I know from experience that investing time and effort into generating “buzz” around a new product or service pays off come launch day.
